Here’s a quick overview of my FAQs. If you have a question, it’s likely answered on this page.
What is this ‘PimpThatFood’ thing all about?
Certainly not because I’m a Pimp
. I discovered blogging in 2008 and I wanted to write about one of my all time passions. On October 2009 I decided to start up my food blog. I wanted to share online what I’ve learned for the past 10 years working in the kitchen. My aim was simply to help people change the way they think about cooking simple and healthy meals. With the recession crisis underway, healthy budget recipes are more than the norm; recipes that literally do not take more than 45 minutes to cook and anyone can do them at home. PimpThatFood is the 1st Maltese Food Blog and during the past 2 years I am very grateful to have shared all my knowledge about food and also met the most amazing people from around the world thanks to this blog.
What does Pimp mean?

Who takes the pictures on PimpThatFood ?
I take all the pictures you see on the website with the exception of the ‘Food with Benefits’ banners. Photography is something that I love to do since I got hold on my first camera when I was 16.
What kind of camera do you use?
Currently I use a compact camera, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W200 as I’m a much of a travel person and always on the go. I am planning to invest in a Digital SLR with a good lens kit which will hopefully give more pop to picture quality of my food dishes. But what I can tell is that it’s not the camera equipment which matters most but lighting conditions have a lasting effect on the final photo. I have the tendency to shoot photos (mostly closeups) in the morning/afternoon as I found out that natural lighting helps to get the best out of any dish or ingredient. Some months ago I have build a DIY photography box which I found really useful for evening/night shots. Lighting can be easily controlled to your liking and photos will look amazing and professional. If you want to see my other photos, check out my flickr.
